ULTA HAUL: TooFaced, Nyx, Ulta Brand & More!

Ulta is my heaven. Seriously, if I could live in a store it would be this one. I love ordering from Ulta because they always have good sales (especially on Nyx, one of my favorite brands) and you can put free gift notes with your orders. That’s a terrible reason to love ordering, but I always leave myself a note because I’m that person. This time my note told me I’m amazing and need to stop spending money on make-up.

Anyway, enough about my love affair with Ulta. Here are the products I ordered and what I think about them!…

My order came to about $55 dollars with Ulta Rewards and free shipping. I ordered one product from Too Faced, three products from Nyx and two from Ulta brand.

If you’re wondering why I have four Nyx products but said I ordered three it’s because Ulta messed up and sent me doubles of my eye shadow single. ~*FREE EYE SHADOW*~. Considering how much money I’ve given to Ulta and Nyx, this mistake is the least they can do for me, am I right?

Ulta Super Blender Sponge

I didn’t picture this because there’s not much to see. This I ordered more out of necessity than want. These are the Beauty Blender knock-offs I’ve been using for my foundation since who even knows when. I love these.

Ulta Matte Lip Cream

I love me a good matte lip cream, so I added this to my cart to qualify for that free shipping. I got the shade “Lively.” It’s this surprisingly bright pinkish coral color and the packaging/applicatior is nearly identical to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams that I always rave about, but bigger.

Here’s what the color looks like on my lips. I tried to do that cool pose where MUAs on Instagram show the product and their lips by like biting it but it looks dumber than anticipated. So there’s me basically eating my product. Nice. Anyway, it looks really bright and is quite creamy–not drying. I love this and definitely want to buy some more!

Nyx Liquid Black Liner

I didn’t need this. I wanted to try the new Nyx Matte Vinyl whatever liner but it was sold out so I ordered this. The brush is the kind I like–very small and like a tiny paintbrush and it’s probably good but I probably didn’t need this.

Nyx Lip Liner in Fuchsia

I realized that I already own one of this and literally bought it a few weeks ago. It’s a dark pink color–not even fuchsia like I was anticipating. The hoarder in me is glad to have a back-up of a product I love but the MUA in me is sad that I spent money on the same color instead of a new one.

Nyx Hot Singles in “Sin”

This color is so shimmery and pretty! It’s like a medium brown nude. I really love this and I’m pretty excited that I got two. Beating the system is fun.

Too Faced Natural Eyes

I’ve been drooling over this for a long time and I finally splurged on it. It’s smaller than I expected–it’s about the size of my iPhone 5 but a little bit bigger. Every color is beautiful and usable though, I’ll write a review with swatches and an EOTD soon!

Samples

Usually Ulta is kind of sucky when it comes to samples. It’s always concealer and foundations samples for medium/dark skin tones (I’m white as paper) or weird smelling fragrances. Today I got some weird smelling fragrances.

I’m pretty sure this Catherine Malandrino sample is meant for a men. It smells like a man who just rubbed his body in designer ties and hundred dollar bills. Same for this Dolce & Gabbana Intenso sample. It smells like a nice and wealth man. Maybe I’ll spray it on my pillows and pretend to have a  nice and wealthy sugar daddy who buys me make-up and iced coffee.
