Quick + Easy Wear To Class Makeup Look // eyeliner wings & pretty things

When it comes to getting ready in the morning, you’ll want to optimize your time by applying the makeup products that’ll make the most impact and make you look most awake. The areas I’ve found make the biggest difference when all made up are: eyebrows, eyelashes and complexion.

Secondarily, I’ve found that lips and cheeks can also make a huge difference if you’ve got a few extra seconds. Also, I’m totally biased and I know that for the majority liquid liner is not something that takes a minimal amount of time and can be incorporated into a quick morning routine. *Cliche romance novel voice* I’m not like the other girls, I mean, I need to get that wing in every day, after all ya girl’s blog name is eyeliner wings and pretty things.

This quick and easy wear to class makeup look will let you sleep late & look great when you head to class. Yay!

The Face

Step One: Conceal

Color correcting is such a trendy beauty trend lately and it’s so much less terrifying than it looks. Applying green and pink to your face seems like a professional level sort of skill, but it’s very simple. Use pink or yellow to cancel out blue/purple (read: under eye circles) and use green to cancel out redness.

These essence cosmetics color correcting concealers are so pigmented, which looks scary, but they’re so creamy and blend very nicely.
5 Minute Wear To Class Makeup Look // eyeliner wings & pretty things I used the pink one, say NO to under eye circles, under my eyes to cancel out those dark circles that are a constant when you’re sleep deprived. I used the green one, say NO to redness, to cancel out any redness or blemishes on my skin. These little sticks were only $2.99 each at Target!

Got an extra five minutes? If you’re seeking a little more coverage and have a little more time to spare, I recommend applying a medium-light coverage BB cream on your skin. This will save you time because it requires less effort and time to blend in than foundation would.

Step Two: Blush

Blush is a nice way to add some life to your face, especially if you’re very fair like I am and can risk looking like an actual corpse. If your cheeks are naturally flushed, this step is one step you don’t need to add to your easy wear to class makeup routine.

For a quick routine, stick to a light blush. These will take less time and effort to blend while looking more natural. From essence cosmetics I recommend the essence cosmetics silky touch blushes. I’ve swatched some of them in the past . Again, these are only $2.99 each. If you’re looking for natural shades I recommend 20 babydoll for tan or dark skin and 10 adorable for fairer skin.

Got an extra five minutes? Add a little bit of bronzer around your hairline and cheekbones to add a golden glow to your complexion.

Eyes & Brows

Step Three: Eyes

For this step, all you really need is mascara. The essence Lash Princess False Lash Mascara is my absolute favorite mascara. I know this post is sponsored and you might be thinking I’m just saying it’s my favorite because of that, but believe me when I tel you that’s not the case. The moment this mascara wand touched my lashes I knew I was in love.

First of all, the packing is amazing. Second of all, it adds so much curl and volume and length. Third of all it’s only $4.99. I love layering my mascaras because lashes are everything, so I also add an extra coat of essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara.

I’ve used a lot of mascara in my day and I’m genuinely surprised that I love essence cosmetics’ Lash Princess mascara line this much. You don’t need to spend $20 to get bomb lashes.

Got an extra five minutes? Add a cream nude shimmery shadow across your lid and blend a bronze or taupe into your crease.

Got an extra ten minutes? Add an eyeliner wing, girl! I also used the Waterproof Eyeliner Pen by essence cosmetics for my wing. It’s $2.99 and it’s so pigmented and it lasted through me crying during a certain favorite character’s death on Game of Thrones (Still not over it!) so I can attest to the waterproof-ability.

Step Four: Brows

Eyebrows are make or break. Have you seen those “Celebrities without Eyebrows” pictures? If not, Google them and you’ll have a newfound appreciation for your brows. This kit is great and I find myself mixing the darker brown shades and filling in my eyebrows with an angled eyeliner brush. The light shimmery pink is also great for applying right under the arch of the brow to really lift your brows a bit and make you seem more lively.

This How to Make Brows Wow makeup box was only $9.99. It’s perfect for filling in your brows and I like to set this with the Lash + Brow Gel Mascara for $2.99. I’ve been using this religiously for years and I’m on my third tube. This will help your brows stay in place all day and it’s clear so you don’t need to worry about matching your brow gel to your brow color.

Lips

Step Five: Lips

For a quick makeup look, I recommend a low-maintenance nude lip color. I’m all for a pop of color or daring, bold lipstick but those do often require upkeep and careful application. With these lipsticks you can get away with applying it quickly because these are buildable and not heavy on the lips.

Got an extra five minutes? Use this extra time to line your lips before applying lip color. This leads to smoother application and it’ll prevent your lip color from bleeding! I love the essence lip liners because they’re $1.99 and they’re so creamy; you don’t need to tug on your lips to get pigmentation. I’ve previously reviewed & swatched essence cosmetics lip liners, so if you’re interested in more on that, see my post here.

(L-→R: Longlasting Lipstick Cool Nude 05, Sheer & Shine Lipstick 05 Candy Love, Longlasting Lipstick Coral Calling 01)

The lipstick I’d recommend the most is the essence Nude Longlasting Lipstick. This lipstick is one of my absolute favorites because it’s the perfect dusty Kardashian nude. It’s $1.99 and it lasts through my morning coffee.

The middle shade, Candy Love, is great if you’re into sheer and balm-y shades and Coral Calling is great if you want a nude that has a little extra oomph.
