A mini travel guide for a weekend trip to Washington DC

A mini travel guide for a weekend trip to Washington DC - what to do and where to eat // ew & pt

This past weekend me and a few of my friends went to visit our other friend who’s currently attending grad school in Washington DC and it was so much fun!

And so, I came up with a mini guide that consists of some of the best things we did and the best places we ate. It’s not incredibly thorough, but hey, it’s a great jumping-off point if you’re planning a mini trip to DC any time soon!

From where to eat to what to do, here’s my travel guide for a weekend trip to Washington DC.

Tarot cards, travel, and trying to figure out what’s next

I’m a cheap bitch. There, I said it! But it fortunately comes with cheap tastes (for some things). My favorite mascara is under $5, my wine of choice is like $6 for a whole bottle, and the sweater I’m wearing cost $15. Because of this, I’m really great at hunting down deals and saving money.
But I also kind of suck at spending it. After about a month, I finally caved and bought myself tarot cards I’d been eyeballing since I first saw them during my trip to Copenhagen. Yes, I caveand spent $16 ($13 because I use cash back like the proud fiscally responsible adult I am now) on tarot cards. And you know what?

It was a friggin great idea.

The Ultimate Copenhagen in Winter Travel Guide – Where to go, what to eat

The ultimate guide to visiting Copenhagen in December during the winter - where to go, what to eat, what to see / ew & pt - Copenhagen Travel Guide

When I first told people I was booking a trip to Copenhagen in December, they said: “Why Copenhagen?”

And when I met some people in Copenhagen in a bar, they asked: “Why here?”

And it was sort of a random decision. But when I decided back in July that I wanted to book a trip, I knew I wanted to book it in December. And Copenhagen seemed like the perfect place to be around the holiday season. And, it sort of was. The weather was comfortable for early December and there was holiday cheer and string lights everywhere,

My friend and I went for about five days (honestly could’ve done everything in four) and we stayed at the CPH Studio Hotel, which I can’t recommend enough. The shower was weird but the price was amazing and it was so close to the train station, which was a huge win. The room was also the biggest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. We also flew Norweigan, which was really quite pleasant! I turned 22 while mid-air on a Norweigan flight!

Without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about traveling to Copenhagen in December based on my travels: where to go, what to skip, what to eat, and where to shop.

New Orleans Travel Guide: What to Do, Eat, Drink & Avoid in NOLA

New Orleans Travel Guide: What to Drink, Eat & Do in NOLA (& What to Skip) - guide to new orleansWhile a lot of college kids opt for Florida or Cancun for Spring Break, my friends and I headed down to New Orleans, Louisiana for an absolutely amazing few days. This trip is the perfect trip to take with friends and three or four days was the perfect length to see and do everything we wanted.

Though excessive, I planned this trip with friends very excessively, color-coded spreadsheets and all. We ended up checking off a lot of the spots on there and we also found some great new ones. The trip was filled with walking and a few friendly Uber rides, as well as amazing food and lots of dancing. In terms of spring break, it struck the perfect balance between partying and exploring. New Orleans has quickly become one of my favorite places, so here’s my ultimate guide to visiting New Orleans!
